The 39 Annual CMA Awards: Cowboys, Belt Buckles, Great Music & Superb Fashion Country Music in the Big Apple: Garth Brooks Performs for Fans

Garth Brooks is contemplating returning to his roots. He is making a comeback to the stage. He sang “Good Ride Cowboy” in front of his many fans as a tribute to his good friend and country singer, Chris LeDoux who died this year.

The Central Valley of California has its own famous son. It has Buck Owens. At Buck Owens's Crystal Palace, you can run into the guy, who long ago, carried the flames of the Valley to the rest of the United States and the world.

At his Crystal Palace, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood were among the thousands of fans celebrating and honoring country music stars. There were 10 large bronze statues on display. The occasion was the "Legends in Bronze" event which most country music stars have come to appreciate.

On this special occasion, Garth Brooks did something that touched the heart of all the participants. He touched Trisha Yearwood's heart particularly. He got down on one knee in front of everybody to propose to fellow country music star, Miss Trisha.

The crowd went wild for a few good minutes. Once for all, Bakersfield, in the Central Valley of California, has its night in the star spotlight.

Let’s go back to the CMA Awards in the Big Apple. The grandes dames of the Country Music were present. Lee Ann Womack earned three CMA awards. During the acceptance speech, she gave credits to her father and her entourage. Among the superstar female Country Music artists in attendance, we found Gretchen Wilson, Sara Evans, Faith Hill and Dolly Parton, just to name a few of them.

In choosing New York, Country Music is trying to raise its profile in the state. A large number of Country Music consumers live in the Big Apple.
