No Two Girls for the Same Dresses: Starlette O'Hara in Fresno's Fig Garden Village Registers Dresses To Avoid Disappointment on Prom Night

Memories are made on the big night. Seniors, juniors and other high school girls are known to be shopping for their perfect dresses months before the prom night. Close to a wedding, a prom ceremony takes a huge chunk of time and planning from parents as well as students. So when a Starlette O'Hara owners and staff start registering dresses, prom celebrants thought it was a good idea. Indeed, registering the dresses to avoid that other girls wear the same dresses at the ceremony gives those who are going to wear them the confidence that they are going to be unique.

Having heard about the store, I decided to pay a visit on a beautiful Spring afternoon. With my preteen daughter in tow, we set out to have fun at the same time. It was girls' night out! After dropping some of the quaint shops that exist at the Village, it was time to step into the Starlette O'Hara. We found the staff to be very helpful. They were not pushing us to buy anything. We checked some of the new dresses that are on display. All of a sudden, my daughter said, "Mom, I think I found my dream dress. If I was going to be in a prom, I would take this one." She was quick to show me this yellow dress by Jovani which features a ruffled skirt. After gushing over the playfullness of the dress, I tried to direct her attention to a new cache of special occasion dresses on the corner. There were short, flirty birght yellow dresses that I could see myself wearing anytime. I preferred the long elegant stain kelly green dresses that were exhibited on a rack behind us.

What can you find at the store? You will find hundreds of dresses that come in every color, fabric, style and hue. You will find tulle, lace, sequins, rhinestones, sashes, halters, shirring and embroidery dresses at the Starlette O'Hara. If you care about accessorizing, you will find necklaces and earrings to add some final touches. If you ant frilly feminine dresses for your prom or special cocktail party, you will find them there too. Many girls who go into the store think they are stepping into one of the closets of Cinderella's godmother.

My daughter and I walked past some short dresses which have become favorites among many girls this season. They are short orange strapless and pink halter. The store reminds me of a box of chocolate. Racks of dresses range from red, purple, blue, turquoise and yellow. Prom has not arrived for her yet. It will surely arrive in a few years. It was time to head out to the Cheesecake Factory to reward our palate with some strawberry cheesecake. Then, the shopping will continue at the Fashion Fair Mall. For sure, we will hit Cosmetics shop Sephora. We know that we will return to Starlette to play dress up a few more times. It was a great discovery.
