Based on published reports, Times Square Shopping Center is for sale. There is an out-of-town buyer who has shown interest. He has even exchanged money with the current owner of the center, the Zinkin Family. The Zinkins did not reveal much info because the deal is not closed yet. The Zinkin Family spokesperson only said that one of the shopping centers on Marks and Shaw is on sale. Now, this is the shopping center where a lot of my friends shop. It has some key tenants. Thanks to its location, it is a great investment. 3D investments and another family have been negotiating with the Zinkin Family. They are interested in having a representation in the Fresno area. They see lots of potential. They have the dough to pay for it. George Daneshgar, one of the partners, said that the company owns other hot properties in Hawaii and other places. It is also negotiating to buy most of Japantown mall in San Francisco. A few weeks ago, we were at Japantown and Chinatown. Japantown was refurbished. It lookes so great. The whole area is being revitalized. San Franciscans take pride in their cultural heritage. They are hoping that 3D Investments will keep Japantown as is. Many industry insiders are saying that Fresno's time has come. It is time to start shopping at high-end stores in Fresno. It is so hot that it is attracting investors from OC, the Bay Area and Los Angeles. Commericial and Retail companies are fielding calls from a lot of people who are interested in the Fresno-Clovis market. Once you have masses, it is normal to have shopping. It's the bandwagon theory. When one investor makes it big, the news gets spread. Everybody wants to come in and see for themselves. In fact, there is a lot to show. The Central Valley barely starts getting developed. There is more to come.
