Terrell Owens against the Eagles, Terrell Owens against McNabb, TO against himself

Terrell Owens will speak his mind. He will run into trouble. He will try to apologize. That's TO. But he will perform like no other.

The series of incidents that caused the Eagles organization to suspend him from the team. He got into a scuffle with former Pro Bowl defensive lineman Hugh Douglas. Hugh works in the Eagles' fron office in the team's training room.

When he went on an interview with ESPN, he said that the Eagles would have been undefeated if Green Bay's Brett Favre was playing with them. Let's keep in mind that Donovan McNabb is African-American just like Mr. Owens is. Brett Favre is white. Is the race issue the under-current here? If the same words came from the mouth of Rush Limbaugh, all the torrents of hells would be open. Depending on who says what about the football players, more problems may arise.

Terrell Owens never missed an opportunity to go down on Quarterback McNabb. The two did not speak to each other for a long time. Then, they made up. They played well together.

Showing leadership, Donovan McNabb tried to rally the team. "I believe truly that it's a team sport. i expect guys to play together and support each other. We took a step forward as a team yesterday and I expect it to continue the rest of the year."

What does Mr. Owens really want?

He wants to get the Eagles to renegotiate the final six years of his seven-year, $49 million contract that will pay him millions."

After firing his long-time agent, David Joseph, he hired Drew Rosenhaus. Is Terrell Owens getting bad advice. If he wants a new contract, this is not the way about getting the attention of the top brass. Negotiation skills appear to be lacking. Guerrilla tactics may not work in this case. By lashing out at the Eagles administration for not recognizing his 100th Td, he is chasing them away.

In the end, Owens' brief stint with the Eagles organization appears to be over. Terrell will not return to the team this season according to Eagles coach Andy Reid.

Eagles is planning on deactivationg Terrell. He is faring worst than Keyshawn Johson who was reprimanded but allowed to play on Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Ultimately, he was cut for criticising coach Jon Gruden. Terrell Owens' history of suspension goes back to 2000, when he was suspended by the San Francisco 49er coach, Steve Mariucci. Owens had engineered his trade to the Philadelphia Eagles. When the Eagles lost to the Patriots, he started picking on McNabb.

It's interesting to see how much money he is going to make and which team will sign him up or give him a third chance.
