After Super Bowl Buzz Comes SuperTuesday Buzz for the Election Primaries
The Super Tuesday presidential primaries are good for TV, critics and media people. They are good for political commentators, writers and bloggers. On one day, you will have primaries in half of the states, two contested races and so many rallies. Politicians have red eyes. They have to travel to so many events.
California has been visited by some powerful women. The Democrats bring them to the state. Michelle Obama, wife of presidential candidate Barack Obama, Caroline Kennedy, Maria Shriver, Oprah Winfrey and Maria Elena Durazo were seen attending a rally for Sen. Barack Obama in Los Angeles. Oprah Winfrey appeared with these women to deliver her message. This time, she made her choice. She did not go for Hilary Clinton. In the past, she used to support Clinton. Bill Clinton is not naming names any longer, but he is hard at work on behalf of his wife. He was visiting black Churches. He was with the Gardena church. "I love you. She loves you," said former President Clinton to the black churches. How come it is only during elections do these politicians visit? The injection of race into the South Carolina primaries may be the impetus for all these visits according to many observers.
Keep in mind that Senator Edward Kennedy endorsed Obama too.
"...If Obama was a state, he'd be California," said Shriver to the crowd inside UCLA's Pauley Pavillion, the wife of California Governor Arnold Schwartzenegger. " "Diverse, open, smart, independent, bucks tradition. Innovative. Inspirational. Dreamer. Leaders."
